State Minister to Consult on Budget with Factions

(Tbilisi. January 9. Civil Georgia) – State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze meets representatives of the Parliamentary factions on January 9 to continue burdensome consultations on the 2002 state budget.

MPs refused to discuss proposed draft of budget in late December 2001 and decided to postpone discussion for mid January.

According to the proposed draft, expenditures of the budget for 2002 is approximately 1.2 billion Lari ($500 million) and income part stands for one billion Lari. Some MPs insist on increasing expenditures.
