Abkhaz President Fears Georgia will Use US Military Assistance Against Abkhazia

(Tbilisi, March 6, Civil Georgia) – President of unrecognized Abkhazian Republic Vladislav Ardzinba told Russian news agency Interfax that Georgia will use US military assistance in fight against Abkhazia.

“Providing military assistance to Georgia USA and other countries make conditions for the conflict escalation,” Ardzinba stated on March 6.

According to the unofficial reports Georgia took the responsibility that those army units trained by the US military instructors will not be used in Abkhazian conflict.

Georgian Defense Ministry denies the report. Mirian Kiknadze, Head of the PR Office of the Ministry told Civil Georgia on March 6, that Georgia did not take such a responsibility.
