Parliament Summons CEC Authorities
(Tbilisi, June 7, Civil Georgia) – At the parliamentary session on June 7 MPs demanded from the Central Election Commission to explain why the voting ballots were printed with delay that caused postponement, or cancellation of the local elections in several constituencies of Georgia.
At the session today Interior Minister stated that ballots in Rustavi town were taken from the printing shop on June 2 at 7 am when the elections were due to start. On the way to the constituencies cars carrying ballots were attacked and hijacked.
