Abducted Shaw had Tense Relations with Colleagues – Police Say

(Tbilisi, July 5, Civil Georgia) – British citizen, co-director of the Agro-Business Bank of Georgia Peter Shaw, kidnapped on June 18, had tense relations with the trusteeship board of the bank, Georgian Interior Minister Koba Narchemashvili told the Parliamentarians on July 4.

According to the Minister, law enforcers study Shaw’s activity very precisely and they have found out that he used to violate the by-laws of the bank.

The Georgian law enforcers have no information concerning where the British citizen might be detained.

The reports said earlier that the kidnappers demanded USD 2 million in ransom. The Interior Ministry denies the report.
