Greens Party Joins Pro-Presidential Alliance
(Tbilisi. April 19, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Greens Party joined today the election Alliance for New Georgia, chaired by President Shevardnadze.
The Greens Party is not an influential political force in Georgia. The party could gain only 0,35% of votes in the local self-governance elections held last June.
Meanwhile the pro-Presidential election alliance held the meeting in the State Chancellery today. The leaders of the bloc said that the organizational issues were discussed.
This kind of meetings are held for several times and is chaired by the State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze, which is the head of the election HQ of the alliance.
