Georgia Ready to Send Military Doctors in Iraq

(Tbilisi, May 9, 2003. Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Defense Ministry has already prepared the group of military doctors for dispatching in Iraq.

“There is no request from our American counterparts to send the group to Iraq so far. But in case of need we are ready to dispatch military doctors,” Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili told Civil Georgia.

The Parliament adopted resolution on April 7 urging the government to prepare proposals on providing assistance for the Iraqi rehabilitation process.
