AES-Telasi Denies Deal with Russian Power Giant

(Tbilisi, June 12 2003, Civil Georgia) – The representatives of AES Telasi power distributing company dismissed as “disinformation” the statement of the MP Pridon Injia of Labor Party that the US company AES-Telasi, which distributes electricity in Tbilisi sells its shares to the Russian power giant Unified Energy Systems (EES). 

“This information is not true. We will stay in Georgia and continue to work,” Valerie Pantsulaia, the head of the Civil Rights Department of the company, told Civil Georgia.

MP Pridon Injia said today that the AES has already started talks with the Russian company.
