GazProm Supplies Gas to Armenia via Georgia

(Tbilisi, June 18 2003, Civil Georgia) – Under the June 1 agreement between Russian energy giant GazProm and Armenia, the Russian company started to supply Armenia with natural gas via Georgia.

?10% of transited gas will remain in Georgia,? Head of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company Irakli Kiziria told Civil Georgia today.

GazProm will supply Armenia with 690m cubic meters of gas in 2003. The country will also receive natural gas from another Russian energy giant Itera.
