47 Political Parties Want to Run for Parliament

(Tbilisi, September 3, 2003, Civil Georgia) – 47 political parties appealed to the Central Election Commission for participation in the November 2 parliamentary elections. September 2 was the deadline for submitting applications.

According to the outgoing Central Election Commission, 26 parties out of 47 are already registered. The issue of the other political parties being able to become registered is being discussed by the CEC.
