CIS Monitors to Observe Presidential Elections in Georgia
CIS Executive Secretary Yuri Yarov arrived in Tbilisi on December 15 to discuss the pre-election preparations with the interim government of Georgia.
The issues of participation of CIS observers in the January 4 presidential elections will be discussed during the visit.
The CIS Executive Secretary has already met with State Minister Zurab Zhvania and Chairman of the Central Election Commission Zurab Chiaberashvili. Later today he will meet with Interim President Nino Burjanadze.
Yuri Yarov also led the CIS group of monitors, which participated in the November 2 parliamentary elections in Georgia.
