Georgian Leadership at Black Sea Summit

President Saakashvili and Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze left for Istanbul on Sunday to participate in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) summit on June 25.


Leaders from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine will gather in Istanbul to mark the organization?s 15th anniversary.


The Georgian president will hold bi-lateral talks with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili, who is also in Istanbul, is expected to meet his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, on the sidelines of the summit, too.
