Prime Minister Attempts to Address Protesters, Leaves Rally Amid Booing
Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili showed up at the demonstration on Rustaveli avenue, but failed to address the protesters as they booed him and chanted “resign, resign.”
PM Kvirikashvili managed to voice only one of his proposals – that on transferring the Khorava street incident investigation to the Interior Ministry. His office has announced a special press briefing.
Zaza Saralidze, the father of one of victims, said Kvirikashvili apeared at the rally “not to express solidarity, but to lie” to him again. The organizers also reiterated their calls for the resignation of PM Kvirikashvili’s government.
