First Georgian Officer to Serve in NATO Allied Land Command
NATO Allied Land Command (LANDCOM), headquartered in Izmir, Turkey, has said Lieutenant Colonel Vakhtang Kartsivadze has become the first Georgian officer to serve with them.
LANDCOM noted on November 24 that Kartsivadze’s assignment “is just one of many actions in our enduring relationship with partner nation Georgia.”
The Georgian Lieutenant Colonel was welcomed with a five-cross flag raising ceremony hosted by the LANDCOM Chief of Staff, Turkish Land Forces Major General Mustafa Oğuz, accodring to the same report.
