One More Georgian Fighter Killed in Ukraine
Kakha Gogoli, another fighter from Georgia, has been killed in Ukraine, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on July 10. The Georgian Ambassador in Ukraine has been informed and started the necessary procedures to return his body to Georgia.
Romeo Parulava, another Georgian also fighting in Ukraine, told Mtavari Arkhi TV that Gogoli had been fighting near Lysychansk, in Luhansk Oblast, when he was killed.
Gogoli was reportedly a displaced person from Abkhazia and a veteran of the 1992-1993 war there as well as the 2008 Russo-Georgian War. He volunteered to fight in Ukraine soon after Russia invaded the country on February 24.
